Dr. Edwin Cordero joined the ICA in April 2025 as the Chief Executive  Officer (CEO). He  brings over three decades of experience in the chiropractic profession, and in major leadership roles. Known for his passionate leadership style and no-nonsense approach, Dr. Cordero has helped entrepreneurs, business owners, and healthcare professionals unlock their full potential by mastering the principles of leadership, operational excellence, and business growth.

Before becoming a chiropractor, Dr. Cordero proudly served in the United States Navy for six years, where he developed the discipline, leadership, and work ethic that would serve as the foundation for his future success.  After completing his military service, Dr. Cordero pursued his passion for chiropractic, graduating from Life Chiropractic College in 1993. He went on to build and lead a successful private practice in Boynton Beach, Florida, where he served his community for 20 years. During his time in practice, Dr. Cordero became known for his patient-centered approach, business acumen, and ability to develop strong, lasting relationships with both patients and his team.

Because of his accomplishments, Dr. Cordero was selected to serve as President and CEO of Sherman College of Chiropractic, where his bold leadership and strategic vision transformed the institution. During his 10-year tenure, he led initiatives that expanded academic programs, increased enrollment, and strengthened the college’s national reputation, all while fostering a culture of service, accountability, and leadership development.

Following his successful 10-year tenure at Sherman College, Dr. Cordero served as CEO of MaxLiving, a prominent chiropractic organization with one hundred plus clinic throughout the United States and Puerto Rico. In this role, he led business operations, strategic growth initiatives, and leadership development programs for chiropractors across the country. Dr. Cordero empowered chiropractors to build thriving, patient-centered practices, while maintaining a strong emphasis on health, and business success.

As the founder and CEO of Cordero Consulting Group, Dr. Cordero works with business owners, leadership teams, and healthcare professionals to help them scale their businesses, develop high-performing teams, and lead with clarity and confidence. His custom coaching programs focus on practical leadership strategies, business growth systems, and personal development tools, giving his clients the tools they need to achieve long-term success.

Dr. Cordero is also a published author, having written the highly regarded book, “Against All Odds” How to Transform Setbacks to Success. In this inspiring and practical guide, Dr. Cordero shares his personal journey, leadership insights, and proven strategies for overcoming adversity, embracing challenges, and transforming obstacles into opportunities. His story serves as a powerful reminder that resilience, faith, and leadership can turn even the toughest situations into steppingstones for success.

In addition to his work as a Coach and Author, Dr. Cordero is a sought-after Keynote Speaker, delivering engaging, high-energy presentations in both English and Spanish. His talks offer real-world insights on leadership, influence, business strategy, and personal development—all delivered with authenticity, energy, and passion.

Outside of his professional endeavors, Dr. Cordero enjoys spending time with his wife, Debbie, their two Children and their six grandchildren. He also dedicates time to mentoring future leaders and sharing his faith and personal story to help others grow both professionally and personally.

Beth Clay serves as the ICA Executive Director and Director of Advocacy and Government Relations. A globally recognized expert in complementary and alternative (integrative) health policy, and a long time advocate for health freedom, Beth brings to the ICA a unique background of government, private sector  and life experience. Beth has been a lifelong patient of chiropractic. Her first experience with chiropractic was with an ICA State Representative Assembly Member and her exposure to ICA’s mission and philosophy on health and healing early in life helped set the stage for her life’s path.

Beth has extensive experience internationally, living for three years in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and with business development consulting in the Middle East, North Africa,  and the Caribbean.

Beth began her US federal service at the National Institutes of Health, working administratively in the international, rare disease and alternative health activities of theNIH. She served as the first Committee Management Officer of the Alternative Medicine Program Advisory Committee. In 1998, she was invited by then Chairman of the Committee on Oversight and Government Reform in the United States House of Representatives (Congressman Dan Burton) to join the staff and lead an investigation looking at the role of complementary and alternative health approaches in the U.S. health system. Her responsibilities as Senior Professional Staff would be expanded to lead investigations of high priority matters ranging from autism spectrum disorders, dietary supplement regulation, vaccine injuries in the US military and civilian populations,  to racial disparities in health care.

Beth is the primary author of two Committee staff reports – Mercury in Medicine and FACA: Conflicts of Interest in Vaccine Development. In her official capacity, Beth traveled to Russia, Germany, Canada and across the United States to represent and speak on behalf of the Chairman and conduct health related investigations. During her federal service, Beth served as a delegate to a WTO level Committee of the CODEX Alimentarius.

After leaving federal service, Beth re-entered the private sector as a government relations consultant focused on integrative health policy, non-profit consulting, and business development in the Middle East. During this time she consulted on the development of projects related to the energy sector, health sciences education curriculum, emergency housing post natural disaster, technical writing including for an FDA device approval, as well as legislation related to complementary and integrative health.

Beth has authored numerous papers and reports, including the 2009, article, “Study of Chelation Therapy Should Not Be Abandoned” in the Journal of the American Physicians and Surgeons as a rebuttal to an attempt to shut down the first multi-site trial of EDTA chelation therapy funded by the NIH to evaluate the cardiovascular benefit.  The study would continue and have statistically significant findings of safety and benefit.  She also co-authored a chapter in the leading textbook, The Scientific-Basis of Integrative Health Care, 3rd edition.

Beth has always been philanthropically minded with years of service as a hospice volunteer, scouting, advocating on children’s health and human rights in mental health.  On behalf of the ICA, Beth co-Chairs the Integrative Health Policy Consortium (IHPC) Federal Policy Committee and is the ICA representative on that Board; and formerly the IHPC Committee on Bioenergy and Health.  Beth is also active on the ChiroFutures Strategic Planning activity on the Government Affairs Committee where she serves as co-chair.  She is a member of Women in Government Relations.  Beth is also a member of the National Association of Nonprofit Organizations and Executives as well as the American Society of Association Executives.  In April 2023, Beth was inducted into the Fellows of the ICA (FICA) as an honorary member.  Beth is a Certified Non-Profit Executive (CNE).

As the ICA Membership Ambassador, Dr. Cohen is set to help the ICA achieve its strategic growth goals in membership, to be a strong experienced leader with our Student ICA chapters and members, and to help young graduates stay in engaged as they make the transition from student, to doctor in full time practice. Working as he did with ICA’s CEO Dr. Edwin Cordero at Sherman, Dr. Cohen brings to the ICA experience, passion, and and appreciation for the importance of principled chirpractic and membership and engagement in the organization that Dr. B.J. Palmer founded to carry on his work of promoting and protecting chiropractic world-wide as a drug-free profession focused on the identification and elimination of vertebral subluxations.

Dr. Neil Cohen graduated from Life Chiropractic College in 1986 under the presidency of Dr. Sid Williams, the life purpose and direction of Dr. Cohen’s life was set.  He went on to have a successful family practice for nearly 30 years. Always by his side is his Rock Star “Life Wife” Randi who has been the best kept secret to their success.  Dr. Cohen is an inspirational speaker and writer and is the author of a new book “A Hope Without End”

In 2014 Dr. Cohen was honored to be chosen as the Executive Vice President to expand the vision of Sherman College of Chiropractic. After Sherman, Dr. Cohen launched Above Down Success Coaching where is leads chiropractors to success in life and in practice with a philosophically sound and biblically based coaching program, specifically tailored to each individual client’s needs.

Married for 43 years, he prides himself on his beautiful and loving family. His loving wife Randi and three incredibly talented children: Brian a successful business entrepreneur who currently resides in Tampa, Florida; Dr. Sarah a 2017 graduate of Sherman College practicing and living in Denver, Colorado; and, Dr. Michael a 2018 graduate of Sherman College practicing in Florida.  Dr. Michael and his amazing wife, Jennilin, have blessed him and Randi with a beautiful 5-year old grandson, Grayson James.

Sondra Thomas serves as the ICA’s Director of Membership. Accomplished and results-driven professional with 18 years of experience in corporate banking, marketing communications, member and community engagement. Sondra leads  the Membership Department and is focused on developing and implementing strategies that will help increase membership, and more importantly, providing a direct avenue of communications between the ICA and its’ members.

Sondra is a pillar for volunteerism and community outreach. Her award-winning support include both local and national organizations.

She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications from Saint Augustine’s University in Raleigh, North Carolina.

Aracelly Martinez brings to the ICA a strong background in the chiropractic field as the co-owner of a chiropractic practice and a seasoned non-profit professional in the chiropractic community.

Mrs. Lorie Marsh joined the International Chiropractors Association in 2020.  She brings to the organization more than 25 years of accounting experience.  She began her accounting career wtih the University Legal Services, a Washington, DC based non-profit, transitioned into the corporate world where she spent 20 years specializing in government contract accounting services management.  She brings to the ICA significant accounting expertise and professionalism coupled with a customer service mindset in helping ICA members.

Michael Griesmer serves as a Special Projects Associate.  Prior coming to the ICA, he served in several administrative and management positions, two of which were bi-lingual English/Spanish. He holds a Master of Arts in Cultural Anthropology from The Catholic University in Washington, DC and a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy.
